Fine Arts
Regarding Competition:
The North Carolina Christian School Association (NCCSA) created the Fine Arts Competition to give its students a platform to showcase their God-given talents and to compete with other Christian school students from across the nation. Calvary Christian School is proud to host the Elementary Fine Arts Competition each year.
The NCCSA Fine Arts Competition consists of several components. These include a group competition that covers all areas of group music, speech, art, the spelling bee, Bible quizzing, Bible competitions, and the science fair. Additionally, the journalism competition takes place onsite at each school at various times throughout the year.
CCS participates in various NCCSA competitions, including separate Solo and Small Group Competitions for both junior and senior high students. Additionally, there is an Elementary Fine Arts Competition. For students in grades 3-12, an NCCSA Academic Testing competition is also offered, covering a wide range of academic subjects.
Senior high winners from the NCCSA state competition are eligible to participate in the AACS National Fine Arts Competition held at Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC. At this event, they compete against other state winners from across the country.
