Our Technology

Our Technology

Access to technology in school gives students greater opportunities to learn, engage, communicate, and develop skills that will prepare them for work, life, and citizenship in the 21st century. Therefore:

2nd-12th grade students have access to the Internet in our study labs and classrooms for research, and for access to online study aids, online electives, online tutorials, etc. (Strictly controlled: see “Safety Online” below.)
We provide access to carefully selected school-specific applications and technologies for students to use in our computer labs, on classroom computers and on their personal mobile devices.

Safety Online

Our goal is to provide the greatest benefit to our students in the safest environment possible. Therefore:

7th-12th grade students and their parents are required to sign the CCS Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) before access to the school’s online network will be authorized. The AUP governs all uses of the school’s Internet services and school computers. It also outlines the guidelines and behaviors that students are expected to follow on the school campus when using school or personally owned laptops, computers or mobile devices.
CCS uses a powerful Internet Management System (GoGuardian) to filter, control, monitor and record every student’s online activity through the school network. This enables us to protect students from objectionable online content and insure compliance with school policies and federal regulations. (CIPA - the Children’s Internet Protection Act)

As you investigate Calvary Christian School in King, you will discover many proofs that our goal really is excellence, for God’s glory and for the benefit of our students!
